Suitable if you have completed Certificate IV in Home Energy Efficiency and Sustainability: CPP41119, including the unit: Assess household energy use and efficiency improvements. You will also need to complete the health and safety unit below.

You will need to complete:

CPP41119 - Certificate IV in Home Energy Efficiency and Sustainability.

You will need to have completed this unit, as part of the Certificate IV in Home Energy Efficiency and Sustainability:

CPPHES4005 - Assess household energy use and efficiency improvements.

Please upload your academic transcript showing you have completed this unit.

To demonstrate health and safety skills relevant to home assessments you must show you have completed one of the following units within the past 5 years. This unit is not required to start your accreditation, it can be completed at any point during the accreditation process.

You will need to complete this unit:

CPPCOM4002 - Implement safe work practices in the property industry.

However, you may have completed this unit prior to 2020. This is also accepted:

CPPHSA4005A – Minimise health, safety and security risks when assessing home sustainability (Release 1).

These courses and units are not funded or provided by the Scorecard team. Relevant training courses are not always readily available.

To start your application, prepare evidence such as certificates and academic transcripts of relevant training.

What happens after you submit your application?

YESS will evaluate your documents and if you meet the criteria for the stream you are applying under, you will pass to Scorecard training.

If you need more training or experience before becoming an assessor, you will be given recommendations. Once you can demonstrate the required skills, you can continue with your application.
